Doctors should be treated like leaders in mission save the Girl child in India.

The first person to whom the newly married couple consults is a doctor…The first person who can play a role of counselor to save girl in India is a doctor…And so without involvement of doctors…Mission save the girl child has no bright future.

How can one forget that medical profession has played the key role to promote two kids family norms in society. How one can neglect the ongoing efforts of nursing staff for promoting eligible couple for family planning operation and for all various family planning activities.

Is it not sad to try…and to find the solution to social and health related issue with out the help of health related person in society?

This was the remark made by a dedicated senior Doctor from Mission save the Girl.

Exceptionally few sonologist and obstetricians were involved in prenatal sex determination and female foetal termination and due to this reason the whole medical profession is being targeted and treated like professional culprits…This is just unfair…He added.

The couple having strong belief in concept of family tree…vanshacha diva…was used to finds a center of Sonography doing prenatal sex determination. In case of female foetus, they also used to find a MTP center to terminate female foetus.

For such couples money was not the matter…and Doctors helping them were God for them.

And surprising thing was that these Doctors were also proud to be called as God.

Controversies are not good for Mission save the Girl Campaign.

Recently there was news regarding threat by radiologist to stop doing obstetric Sonography if Government does not stop to harass them on various grounds.

It is the fact that few Sonography centers are banned on account of lacunae in keeping records recently. The truth is that this action is according to PNDT act which is known to all sonologist.

So where is the question of wrong action?

Sonologist have to keep all records in prescribed manner. No excuse on that account.

The point raised by radiologist of having more Obstetrician doing Sonography is just unfair…as emergency obstetric Sonography can save the life of foetus and mother also.

And for emergency obstetrics Radiologists are not helpful except in few Institutes where they are available round the clock.

Main surprising fact is that when Sonography was newly introduced to medical profession, it was made available to Obstetricians before Radiologist in many Government Big Institutions.

This was remark of our senior obstetrician friend.

Any type of such controversial issue should be avoided and should be solved by discussion with proper authorities as Controversies are bad for progress of Mission save the Girl Campaign.

Well educated people are not behind in killing female foetus before birth.

Does education and modernization teach us to become inhumane?

People from all class of society are anxious to get prenatal sex determination after first female issue…poor withdraws their mind due to expenses…Middle social economical people manages to arrange money and so called modern…highly qualified…mostly are the people choosing option to go for prenatal sex determination and having no problem to destroy female foetus before the birth with ease.

The sad part is that well educated people also not behind in performing such criminal offence.

After few years when she visited the clinic she was with a Boy child.

This was the experience of our Doctor friend.

There must be few more such type of cases in past.

Now the story is different…Now days few couple are choosing such options even after first female child as they are ashamed of having family of more than two kids.

Demand for prenatal sex detection is increased remarkably…And demand for termination of female fetus has increased ultimately…No one can deny this fact.

Such needy people approaches Doctor and…Blackmails the Doctor emotionally.

They are often ready to pay a good amount for this criminal offense.

Are the cases of Female Feticide (killing female fetus) in India preventable?

Not by disease or illness…but female fetuses are at risk in India

Since last 15/16 years the misuse of Sonography is being practiced by few Doctors in India…and the new entity of Female feticides has been slowly entered in health issues in India.

Health organizations does active programming for prevention and eradication of endemic diseases…but this Female Feticide which has been converted into a condition like a mental illness and really challenging to prevent or cure.

Unfortunately widely used methods of termination of early pregnancy for purpose of spacing the next issue by abortion pills or by surgical methods of terminations are well accepted by Indian society.

So mind set here is one can terminate unwanted pregnancy by easy and legal ways.

And when the birth of boy becomes the need of family the pregnancy with female fetus becomes an unwanted pregnancy and parents goes to select and choose male fetus or terminate female fetus.

In society which has strong belief in family tree वंशाचा दिवा…it is the challenging to Save Girl.

Activation of Mission save the Girl can only prevent female feticides in India.

Silent Observers are equally guilty as persons involved in female Feticides.

There are many people in society who do not accept this cruel way of killing targeted female fetuses but it is very sad that they do not want to comment on this issue.

These silent observers know that this mentality of society is taking India towards a major social disaster.

These silent observers are aware of their friends and relatives urging for prenatal sex determination but they do not have courage to prevent them from doing this inhumane things.

There are so many such silent observers who know the persons participating or involving or in real sense doing this crime of prenatal sex determination followed by illegal termination of pregnancy…but these Silent Observers are keeping mum.

‘Family with Two Kids’…ham do hamare do… is the silent culprit behind female infanticides…major challenge in Mission save the Girl.

हम दो हमारे दो...The campaign of family planning program is successful due to mass campaign only…and majority of family have accepted two kids and also one kid family norm.

But along with it thought of two daughters or one daughter norm of family is beyond the mentality of society…rather they want first child as boy and then second as girl or boy.

Contrary if first child is girl then second child has to be boy…no girl at any cost…as they have adapted two child family norms…they can not take for third chance.

So by hook or crook after first female kid…second child has to be born should be boy only…so there is no choice apart from knowing the sex of infant and terminating infant if it is of female sex.

So unknowingly हम दो हमारे दो (Two Kids Family) has crated this cruelty of killing female infants…

Till the mentality of Family of one or two kids irrespective of boy or girl child will be well adapted by society…Mission Save the Girl will have to be continued.

Let’s take example of historical traditions like burning a widow along with dead body of a husband…today one can not even think…about that religious tradition…humiliating women as such. It was so horrible…

And in modern days even today dowry related murder of a young woman is common thing…she is either killed by relatives or provoked to suicide…

So the society in which we all live is with all the time shows male dominance supported by women…that is worst side of it…
